Friday 5 April 2019 the Galleria Civica G. Segantini of Arco will reopen with an update of the collections and loans around the project Segantini and Arco.

During the 2019 the collection of the Galleria Civica G. Segantini will be enriched with new Segantini’s works owned by Cassa Rurale Alto Garda, the prestigious institution that always supported the initiatives of the city of Arco dedicated to the prestigious citizen.

These are three oils painted by the young Segantini – Natura morta con cesto di frutta / Still Life with Basket of Fruit (1879-1880), Natura morta con melocotogno, uva e melograno / Still Life with Quince, Grapes and Pomegranate (1882-1883), Nella stalla / In the Stall (1881-1883) –, a sketch of Segantini’s self-portrait (Abbozzo di autoritratto / Sketch for a Self-Portrait (1887) and a precious drawing (Vanità / Vanity (1898)) connected with the famous painting that is property of Kunsthaus Zurich.
